Eurotrip – Novi Sad, 4 November 2013

Not the most successful of days. We plan a walk in a park followed by some more time at the fortress. We end up taking a long route across the river, I get vertigo on the bridge and it’s fairly unpleasant. The park is OK but is full of rubbish and we end up having to walk several km to get to the fortress, past barking dogs. At this point Rhonda decides she doesn’t need to see the fortress again and goes home. I go for a walk up to the fortress but can’t find anything interesting that I haven’t already seen – I keep hearing that there are interesting underground places, but can’t see them.

So I go back to the hotel. We go out for dinner at Fish & Zelenis, a fun place that has its kitchen on one side of the road and the restaurant on the other. We sit outside, which means we get to avoid smoke and watch the waiters darting back and forth across the street.
