We’d hoped to go walking today but the weather wasn’t up to it. We managed a short walk up the hill at the start of the Tatra National Park, just enough to feel that we’d done something.
We eat lunch at a pay-per-weight place, which leads to me overfilling my plate. Almost all the food is meaty and greasy, even the brussell sprouts come with bacon.
We spend the afternoon at a waterpark, hoping to spend time in the thermal pools and sauna. The pools are closed, which we don’t find out until we’ve entered. The sauna isn’t bad, and has five or six different rooms, but it lacks atmosphere and decent spaces to rest in-between sesssions. Strangely, Polish people wear swimming costumes in saunas, whereas we’d got used to the naked German style.
Back to the same place we ate dinner the night before, this time to eat salads – which are huge but at least have some vegetables.
